VJTC VICTORY in Under 11 and 13

Updated: Aug 22, 2021

We once again dominated in the under 11 and 13 age groups at the Victorian Junior Teams Championships last Sunday, August 20th.

Under 11's BAV1 team were able to defeat PBA1 team 7-2 in the final round, getting first place despite the majority of the team members being quite new in the competition stage. It was also great news to have BAV2 team coming third place, defeating PBA2 team 8-1 and RSC/BAV combined team coming 7th, defeating Gippsland team 7-2. This was BAV's first collaboration with Ravenhall Sports club and it was great to see young new players getting involved and meeting new friends.

In the under 13 competition, it was going to be a challenge for BAV1 team as most of the boys and girls are new to the under 13 age group. Despite these doubts, they were able to defeat HP Black team 10-0 for first place. BAV2 team just missed out on a medal, losing to PBA team 1-9 in the bronze place final. We also like to thank RSC for having Angel Yesudas fill in for BAV2 team.

Under 15 BAV1 and BAV2 teams struggled this year to get high placings. We hope the boys and girls can continue to work and train together and to not give up after this experience. Under 17 BAV1 team missed out on getting first place, after losing to PBA in the final while BAV2 team got seventh place. Under 19 competition prove to be very challenging for our combined BAV team. We would like to thank Smash Academy and HPB for having their boys play for BAV team. Even though BAV combined team ended up last on the ladder, the team mates worked well together, encouraging and supporting one another and did not give up.

We hope this experience has benefited everyone whether it'd be for a first timer or a more experienced player. Continue to train hard and we hope that this will give you not only motivation but also the determination to be better.

Photos and player experiences coming soon!
