Under 17 State Team 2013

Updated: Aug 22, 2021

Hi all

After the completion of last week under 17 mandatory tournament at MSAC; the VIC State teams for 2013 June Bevan under 17 Australasian carnival have been announced officially on BV website.

BAV and coaches would like to congratulate Joy Lai once again on her good performances and won 3 titles last Sat/Sun at MSAC in singles, doubles (partnered with Adriana Phan) and mixed (partner with Kunal Patil from SEBA).

We also would like to congratulate Nalini Kuhanandha on winning 3 titles as well in under 13 (singles, doubles partnered with Irene Chau, and mixed partnered with Ryan Venpin). And we would like to congratulate Ryan too on winning the 3 titles as well in singles, doubles partnered with Marcus Kong and mixed partnered with Nalini Kuhanandha).

Well done to all the rest of the players who performed well, and you guys (doesn't matter on whether you win or lose in RR group or quarter, semi or final); everyone played well and I am glad that I could spend my time the whole day on Saturday to watch you at MSAC and on Sunday morning too (although nearly heart attack on watching some of the matches)...but it's worth it particularly watched most of BAV players have a good fighting spirit regardless the end results.

Hope everyone learns from the experiences and work on what you are lacking of during your training.

Anyway, the VIC under 17 teams are as follows (BAV players will be in bold):

TEAM 1

Boys: Eddie Luk, Kunal Patil (SEBA), Blake Haggerty (Geelong), John Taing (SEBA), Eric Qi & Andre Zopf

Girls: Joy Lai, Adriana Phan, Janice Au, Alice Lorinz (Ballarat), Teresa Chan

TEAM 2

Boys: Jacob Schueler (Geelong), Ernest Yam (WSBA), David Kang, Calvin Hua-ching (WSBA) & Phillip Audley

Girls: Clara Chen, Samantha Lee, Chloe Chen, Lily Rigg (WSBA), Tylah Bruhn (Ballarat)

Well done everyone on making into the VIC teams, it is now time to train hard and prepare well for the carnival which will be held at Altona on the 30th March until 6th APril 2013 (during Easter break).
